Develop Project Management Plan

Develop Project Management Plan is the process of defining, preparing, and coordinating all subsidiary plans.

It defines how the project is executed, monitored and controlled, and closed.

The Project Management Plan includes all of the project subsidiary plans. Every planning document that has been referred to as a plan.

Input for the Develop Project Management Plan are outputs from other planning processes.

Project Management plan also includes the 3 baselines

  1. Cost Performance Baseline
  2. Schedule Baseline
  3. Schedule Scope Baseline

Triple Constraints

  • Cost
  • Time
  • Scope

The Project Management Plan is a living document that will be updated throughout the life of the project.

However, once it is baselined it can only be changed through the Perform Integrated Change Control Process.

The Project Management Plan needs to be developed by the project team and approved by all relevant stakeholders.
